Cindy Bisaillon
Cindy Bisaillon is a Toronto painter, writer, and award-winning documentary-maker, with a long track record of making art. For decades her medium has been the written and spoken word, having crafted over a hundred radio documentaries for CBC, among them The Gospel According to Leonard Cohen, and a three hour series for Ideas called The Power of Colour.
Her narrative form has extended into the visual medium with film documentaries for CBC, TVO and Vision TV. Life’s a Twitch has achieved online cult status.
She has had exhibitions of her photographs, and published two books, Mysterious Islands, and a volume of poetry called Eros Unleashed.
Steeped in the world of nature since childhood, she has worked to capture its beauty in figurative form through watercolour, conte and ink.
Several recent exhibitions of acrylic paintings herald her new creative dimension in FreeFallPaint, moving beyond words and figurative interpretations to explore the spontaneous abstract expression of paint landing on canvas.
These recent works can now be found in a number of private collections.
