Hassan Nayerahmadi was born in Tehran in 1953. In 1972 he moved to Paris to study architecture. It
was at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris where Hassan obtained an Architect
DPLG, and where his sense of observation flourished through the study and love of architecture and
design. He has since dedicated his time to developing his own unique style and had his first official
exhibition, in 1982, at the Salon d’Automne in Paris. In 1990, he moved to Montreal and later settled in
Over the past three decades, Hassan has been inspired by Canada’s natural beauty, the lively and
serene nature that through the time has been a loyal muse.
As an artist and architect, my goal is to create harmony and movement within the space, and a
connection between the setting and the piece. I have adapted my technique to capture the movement
and ephemerality of the landscapes of southern Ontario and Quebec.
