LENORE CARR-SMITH

I am a Toronto floral artist. The unique beauty of flowers inspires my art. This love of all
flowers comes from growing up in Jamaica surrounded year-round by colourful blooms. I enjoy
painting flowers up close in a realistic style to highlight the nuances and details to capture its
essence, beauty and wonder of nature.
I paint in acrylics which allows me to build up numerous layers to get the rich depth, colour
shifts and transparency in my paintings.
I am self-taught. I was fortunate to meet artists that generously guided me when I first began
to paint and continue to encourage my art today.
I regularly exhibit in art shows with the West Toronto Artists and the Women’s Art Association
of Canada.  My work has been featured in Gallery Ring’s International Online Exhibition and
Arabella, The Love of Flowers, a special edition collector’s book by Arabella Magazine.
