Nadine Dennis
Nadine Dennis is a Toronto born painter residing in the West End of the city.
Nadine has been exhibiting in the Toronto area since 1994. In 2017 she became a member of West Toronto Artists and continues to be inspired by this wonderful group of talented artists.
She studied Fine Art at York University, Ontario College of Art, (before it became
OCAD) and Toronto School of Art.
Nadine paints primarily in acrylics and watercolour, experimenting with the effects of different media on a variety of surfaces.
Nadine is influenced by the magic and majesty of nature. Being among the trees is a spiritual experience for her. The interplay of light and colour on the delicate curve of a flower petal and the splendor of the lush landscapes on Vancouver Island inform much of her work. Although her painting style is realistic there is always a bit of whimsy or fantasy to experience. Georgia O’Keefe has been a major influence also the style and elegance of the Art Deco Period.
